Parking T's are typically only used in front of commercial properties or along hundreds of feet of continuous curb where there are no breaks in parking and it is not readily apparent where one should park. The location of the request is a residential property and there are not hundreds of feet of continuous curb. Also, the resident had requested the parking T's in the instance that the red curbs by his driveway were not sufficient in preventing the obstruction of his driveway. The red curb distances are 8 feet and 5 feet, which are quite significant and is the proper tool to address this behavior. For these reasons, we do not recommend the installation of parking T's.
