Description
Insane reckless driving persists down W. Atlantic without any action from the City. I almost got run over again while attempting to cross the street. Cars simply don’t yield to pedestrians. The City needs to install speed bumps and in-street yield signage like they have everyone else on the island. We also desperately need more police presence to deter criminal speeding.
The City should also consider completing closing W. Atlantic to thru traffic. Ferry commuters can take Oriskany Ave to access the Ferry and people wanting to access Spirit Alley or the businesses on Tower St can take W. Midway. Both of these routes would divert the traffic that is making W. Atlantic so unsafe and neither of those alternate routes pass through busy residential areas with street crossing foot traffic.
